As soon as it is playing in more than two cities, everyone needs to go see This Movie is Broken, which, though nominally a Broken Social Scene concert movie/(500) Days of Summer hipster-boy-with-feelings-battles-female-casual-sex-demon thing, is in fact really sweet and awesome and totally relevant to the interests of everyone I know. I went in expecting a predictable bit of fluff with some great concert footage and instead it was unexpectedly real and I was really touched to see a movie that was so in tune with what my life is about while still having roughly as much plot as the average fortune cookie. Also, the concert footage is amazing.

Also also, it's directed by Bruce McDonald, aka the guy who did Hard Core Logo, and it is very Canadian! Always a plus!! \o/

If you live in/near Toronto or Vancouver, go see This Movie is Broken. If you live elsewhere, keep an eye out for it!

(ps it totally subverts the (500) Days of Summer thing, don't worry)

(pps i should mention that this movie is not actually amazing, i just liked it a lot and thoroughly recommend it)
