Just because the American Heritage Dictionary says it's a word doesn't mean you're allowed to use it

You know, it would be just after writing an impassioned defence of fan fiction that I ended up reading a story that used the word "empurpled" at least twice in a pornographic context.

I'VE CHANGED MY MIND, THIS ABOMINABLE HOBBY MUST BE STOPPED.

EMPURPLED. Was there also EMBIGGEN? Which. I sort of like that word, for its humor value, but now I am thinking of it in a porny context and grossing myself right the hell out.
