It's really annoying that Canadians can't use Pandora. I use the Genius sidebar thing on iTunes but that thing is really not much of a Genius, gotta say! It's always really obvious what the criteria are, and the choices have nothing to do with the music. "Specialist" by Interpol will get you a bunch of songs that were featured on The O.C., Neverending White Lights will get you a playlist of Canadian music. Lame. I want music recommendations that don't suck!!

I have an account, but it usually just suggests things that I already know I don't want to listen to. I like Brand New so it suggests Taking Back Sunday (ick), I listen to the Shins so it suggests Travis... Suggesting music based on what other fans listen to just doesn't work for me. Pandora is like magic, what with the whole comparing music according to its actual sonic characteristics thing!

Basically I'm just being grumpy that the internet isn't as free and international as it used to be.
