This is Avery, at about ten weeks old. Such a tiny baby! He was about eight inches long, and weighed one pound.

He grew really, really fast. The first week I got him he had to be dewormed and then a week after that got an eye injury, and then there were several check-ups and immunization rounds, so he was weighed really frequently, and it was nuts how quickly he doubled and doubled in size.

He's five months old now, and he weighs nearly seven pounds.

HAVE I MENTIONED HE'S REALLY CUTE?

He's also totally fearless, and I'm not entirely sure he can feel pain. My roommate has a year-old twelve-pound British shorthair named Moog, and Avery has been picking fights with her since he was a wee tiny bean (he doesn't always win, or *ahem* stick the fight out once he's started it, though). He likes to climb in places that shouldn't be climbed in (like the space between the window and the screen), and eat things that shouldn't be eaten (plastic, unpopped popcorn, popsicle sticks), and jump from ridiculous heights.

This is from today. He usually watches hockey with me but he got all tuckered out chasing his tail. BEST KITTEN.
