six hours away and i am frealz getting nervous!!

So for the past couple days I have been googling tonsillectomy stuff to find out about what I can eat, voice changes, recovery times, etc, but I've only looked at medical sites so it's been all clinical and whatnot and just now I read a blog post with a bunch of TERRIFYING COMMENTS.

"I have found that the pain everyone told me about was true…I tried to over look the anticipated pain and compared it to having child birth naturally (I delivered my son with no medication) so certainly I thought I could handle this…yeah, i was wrong…I am on day 10 and though feel a little better, i was not prepared to have this much pain on day 10…I made a huge mistake of eating a banana this a.m. and it brought me to tears."

"For at least 4 months, I felt like I had a hair ball in my throat."

AUGH. O.O

I have to go back to work in nine days!! To my extremely physical job which involves a lot of talking!!

oh no.

I am hoping this is going to be another one of those things where people who are not me are total wieners about pain. Like, people whine whine whine about wisdom tooth extraction but I got all four of mine out with only local anaesthetic, then sat around in the dental office staff room for four hours waiting for my mom finish work and was totally fine. Also I got an enormous rib tattoo and it tickled. And maybe stung a bit, but I've had paper cuts that hurt more. And I've broken sixteen bones! I have broken my foot and only found out after eight days of walking on it! GUYS I REALLY WANT THIS TO NOT TOTALLY SUCK.
