lerouxThings that happened today:
1. Canada won the Men's Hockey gold! In Vancouver, that is kind of like saying we just won the Universe. Against our more popular older brother. In front of his girlfriend. It is a big deal in a petty way, is what I am saying.
2. And then after watching the game I went to work, where I found out my limited edition Chucks had been thrown in the garbage because they were outside my locker, even though one of the managers had said we could keep our shoes on top of our lockers, and did I mention they were limited edition and also a graduation gift and also signed by Anti-Flag.
It has been a day of highs and lows. I'm calling in tomorrow and quitting, with no notice, and I wish them good luck covering my shifts this weekend. I hated that job even before they discarded my irreplaceable property.
