I just found out that Octavia St. Laurent died a few weeks ago. It's kind of amazingly upsetting to know the details of her life and to see her in Paris is Burning, filmed twenty years ago, and to know that nothing turned out for her the way it should have. She was possibly the most beautiful person on the planet, once, and that counted for nothing.
